Easy Pan-Seared Pork Chops

Ingredients
  

  • 7 to 8 breakfast chops (very thin bone-in pork chops)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • to taste cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • to taste extra salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, seasoned salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Dredge each pork chop in the flour mixture, coating both sides. Set the coated chops aside on a plate.
  3. Heat the canola oil in a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt. Once the butter and oil mixture is hot, carefully add up to 3 pork chops at a time. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on the other side, or until no pink juices remain. Remove the cooked pork chops to a clean plate and repeat with the remaining chops.

Serve these delicious and simple pork chops with smashed new potatoes for a complete meal.
